On the 23rd of October 2026, in the city of Malmö was an evening of fun, celebration, recognition of dedicated service, sporting excellence and encouragement to do even more for communities at Föreningsgalan 2026.
The Nigerian Community in Skåne (NCS) was honoured to receive an invitation and tickets to participate in this prestigious event, which celebrates the invaluable contributions of associations, volunteers and community builders. We sincerely thank the members who volunteered to represent NCS. Your participation demonstrated our community’s commitment to building relationships, strengthening collaboration and being an active part of Malmö’s vibrant association life.
Our heartfelt congratulations go to OUT OF AFRICA for winning the Årets Föreningsinsats award (Association Initiative of the Year). This recognition is a testament to the positive impact of their work and their dedication to community development. We also celebrate Mama Lul, one of our association community’s great supporters and connectors, for winning the Årets Eldsjäl award (Volunteer of the Year). Her commitment to building bridges, expanding networks and connecting associations with municipal offices and opportunities deserves our sincere appreciation.
For NCS, participation in events like Föreningsgalan goes beyond attending a ceremony. It is an opportunity to strengthen friendships across communities, learn from inspiring initiatives, raise the visibility of our association and create connections that can open doors for future partnerships and opportunities for Nigerians in Skåne.
These achievements remind us that consistent service, collaboration and dedication make a difference. When one association succeeds, it also inspires others to aim higher and contribute more meaningfully to society.
As the Nigerian Community in Skåne, we remain committed to integration, inclusion, cultural exchange and constructive partnerships with Malmö’s associations and wider society.
Together, we grow. Together, we contribute. Together, we make a difference.
