Nigerian Community in Skåne Marks Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary
On Saturday, 4th October 2025, the Nigerian Community in Skåne proudly commemorated Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary with an event themed “65 Years of Independence, Unity in Culture, Strength in Diversity.”
The celebration brought together Nigerians, friends of Nigeria, and well-wishers across Skåne to honor this historic milestone. The program featured cultural performances, traditional music, and an exhibition of Nigerian cuisine, all reflecting the richness of Nigeria’s heritage and its enduring values.
Speakers at the event highlighted Nigeria’s remarkable journey since gaining independence in 1960, acknowledging both the challenges and achievements that have shaped the nation’s identity.
